BIO

Like many men and women in the outdoor industry, I was raised exploring the out-of-doors. I have a deep-rooted passion for wildlife and wild places so becoming a hunter was part of my natural progression through childhood. I cut my teeth hunting and fishing on public lands and waters throughout the state of Kansas until my career took me to Tennessee. Since 2017, I worked as a professional land manager for high-profile clients around the Nashville area. It was in Middle Tennessee where I was able to put my knowledge of deer management, native ecosystem restoration, and regenerative agriculture into play.

During my years in college I worked as a wildlife biologist for the Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks, and Tourism which gave me valuable insight into the positive and negative aspects of government-controlled land management. After graduating from Kansas State University with a degree in wildlife management and biology, I moved to Southern Missouri to study under Dr. Grant Woods for 8 months. I was able to gain valuable in-the-field experience with one of the nation's most accomplished deer biologists. With his teachings of no-till planting and utilizing cover crops, I built a foundation of knowledge that would later help me understand the principles of nature. I credit Dr. Woods for sparking my interest in regenerative agriculture.

Regenerative agriculture not only applies to large-scale row crop and cattle operations, but also to food plot systems put into action by environmentally conscious land managers. By following the 6 principles of soil health, farmers, ranchers, gardeners, and food plotters will be able to reduce input costs while increasing the quality of forage growing in their fields, pastures, gardens, and plots. These principles ultimately lead to better nutrient uptake by wildlife resulting in larger antlers, higher body weights, increased offspring recruitment, and countless other benefits from having healthy soil on your property. Soil is the foundation of our ecosystem, so it is my goal is to help clients boost the health and biological activity of the soils on their farm.

I have pursued white-tailed deer and many other game species native to the Eastern half of the United States for 15 years. For the last 5 years of my life, I put my hunting experience to use by professionally managing recreational properties for hunting purposes. I am able to provide insight on stand locations, food plot and bedding locations, deer movement, and strategic hunting strategies. I believe that having a well thought out plan is the most important part of a successful hunt.

My fiancé and I reside north of Wichita, Kansas with our German Shorthaired Pointer named Ryzer. We spend our free time implementing regenerative ag principles in our gardens, fishing, caring for family, and hunting when the season arises.
